Male and Female - Why?

In New Christian theology, there's a very core concept that the Divine Love and Divine Wisdom cooperate, and are "married;" working together to form all of creation. Neither one can operate without the other. "Female and male" together correspond to this celestial marriage.

Because of their understanding of spiritual marriage, the people of the Most Ancient church perceived "male and female" as two faculties in the spiritual self: "male" refers to the understanding and "female," to the will. This is because, generally speaking, it is more of a male approach to perceive things from understanding them and it is more of a feminine approach to perceive things from loving them. Our understanding generalises and sees concepts in ideas. Our love sees their place and value and wants to bring them to fruition and use. When these faculties of will and understanding act as one, it can be seen as "marriage."
